Planet united by the ocean

Country participation
The nations participating in World Aqua Day are not bound to participate by the government or any other formal institution. World Aqua Day is a day devoted to mankind and natural resources, ocean lakes and rivers that sustains the planet and all life on it. The WAD resolution for 2023 and 2024 promotes voluntary participation by diving centres, divers and people on land in support to the divers. The OACM’s WAD Committee will closely follow the World Aqua Day’s development in collaboration with nations where the government officially participates and develops new strategies for 2025.

WDA Leadership and Protocol
WDA administration will guide and set up a custom-made schedule for each participating country, diving centre and environmental organisation or institution. Due to the unknown number of participants per nation, the protocol for the official cleanup start will be created not later than 3 months prior to World Aqua Day. OACM will guide and foster some nations to acquire local sponsorship and financial support from government. WDA headquarter will create a media protocol and system that will enable the participant nations to be broadcasted live in the main, the World Aqua Day’s hosting country.

Security protocol
World Aqua Day is specially oriented to the preservation of biodiversity below the ocean surface by divers. For that, it will require a custom-made protocol of official starting time, duration and official finishing time. The protocol will be disposable for download at the worldaquaday.com website 6 months before the official start. OACM Group with its legal and security team will ensure a security protocol for below-the-water terms, and above-the-water terms for ordinary participants.

EOMD Official Measuring Scale
Each participating nation, divided by cities, local communities and groups, will need to measure approximate amounts of the Extracted Ocean Marine Debris (EOMD). By the end of the cleanup, the extracted amount of the entire nation needs to be counted and numbers delivered to the WDA Administration in the hosting nation. Each nation will promote the tonnes of EOMD in media nationally and when on live air to the WDA hosting nation.

World Aqua Day promo material, visual effects and uniforms
WAD Administration will provide each nation, official diving centre and organisation that is participating with the official visual World Aqua Day identity in form of banners and other visual effects. Each participant in World Aqua Day is obliged to visually promote the cleanup and EOMD Scale results. Participating nations and diving centres can make their own visual identity material under the WDA Administration’s protocol for use of the correct logo, slogan, etc.

New World Aqua Day Website, a communication platform  for EOMD
WDA is under construction of building an entirely new communication platform, web and social media strategy that will have the capacity to visually promote all the participating nations, diving centres and organisations, from all over the world. This communication web platform will be officially launched 8 months prior to the cleanup for the promotion of participants and easier communication protocols.
